Walking the Great War: fundraising for the journey of Nicolò Giraldi

el sunto Nicolò Giraldi will travel through the field of the Great War for two months. Sustain his cause with a free donation

2014 represents the 100th anniversary of World War I. Thousands of events are taking place all over Europe to remember the tragic conflict that caused a loss of a generation.

Nicolò Giraldi is a London- based Italian journalist who will recall the places involved in the western and eastern fronts of the Great War. By undertaking a two-months walk from London to Trieste, Italy and while publishing the journey chronicles online on Bora.La and on his own blog ( nicologiraldi.wordpress.com ) he will consider an unusual perspective to tell readers about the everyday life of people who are preserving the legacy of WWI.

All the recorded, published and collected material will be used to write a book by the end of 2015.

Nicolò has estimated a budget of around £1000 to cover the entire walking journey and Bora.La has already launched a fundraising campaign to support his project.

Would you like to know why Premier League is moving to Ypres next November? Did you know King’s Lynn in Norfolk was the first British bombed city by Germans Zeppelin? What about trenches in southern England?

Don’t skip the lesson again.
