Il sito Transition on-line racconta come la Slovenia alla presidenza dell’Ue (da gennaio a giugno 2008!) inquadrerà come primo obbiettivo di politica estera l’integrazione della Serbia nell’Unione. Il primo ministro Janez Jansa vorrebbe dare alla Serbia il titolo di ‘membro candidato’ proprio nei sei mesi della presidenza slovena. Alcuni brani del pezzo:
Prime Minister Janez Jansa and his foreign minister, Dimitrij Rupel, have stressed repeatedly that their aim in the presidency will be to strengthen the “European perspective” of the Balkans and to ensure that EU member countries are united in their approach to regional issues…
Slovenia’s presidential aim comes at an important juncture for the Balkans, as far as the EU goes. While the EU is committed officially to admitting countries in the Balkans once they have met the membership criteria, there is a sense that making this happen is a priority for fewer and fewer players. Furthermore, while the levels of opposition to eventual membership of Balkan countries are nowhere near those facing Turkey, influential public figures in some old EU member states have called for referendums on any future enlargement…
The Balkans is an important playground for Slovene exports and investment, and the country also shares many cultural ties with the rest of the region. Consequently, bringing the Balkan countries closer together and eventually including them in the EU is an undisputed strategic goal for Slovenia.
Mi sembra giusto che ci si occupi prima di accellerare l’ingresso della Croazia nell’UE, a mio parere sarebbe dovuta già entrare nel 2004 con la Slovenia ed è uno scandalo che non sia entrata nel 2007 assieme a Romania e Bulgaria!!
LA CROAZIA DA TROPPO TEMPO STA ASPETTANDO DI ENTRARE NELL’UNIONE EUROPEA!! PERCHE’ ADESSO LA SLOVENIA HA UN IMPROVVISO INTERESSE DI INTEGRARE LA SERBIA?? SPERIAMO CHE NON SI COMMETTANO INGIUSTIZIE! LA CROAZIA MERITA DI ENTRARE NELL’UE PIU’ DI OGNI ALTRO STATO
Beh non credo proprio si possa dire che l’economia croata sia florida tanto quanto quella slovena.
Senza contare le ripercussioni di un paese che la guerra l’ha vissuta in pieno.
non che sia contrario alla croazia in ue, ma anche a me piacerebbe sapere sulla base di che dati si dice che la croazia ha più diritto di altri a starci
